We hired Tracy Anderson, from Anderson
roofing , to do our roof at 61 AND 63 Maevista
place. Once the roof was done we
experienced issues with leaking on the side of
the home. Tracy told us to replace the
chimney caps as they where in very rough
shape . After the forementioned was done ,
still leaking . Tracy told us that it is the eaves
leaking over the side down the facia and sofit.
My friend who is a red seal journeyman told
me that the reason why the eaves are
overflowing after the job was done was
because they didn't clean out the eaves
completely . He found Roofing debris in the
downspouts . This caused a lot of damage to
the kitchen downstairs , as the water made its
way down the wall and into the kitchen area.
Apon inspecting the job done by Anderson
roofing , we noticed that the roofing caps
where not done to code. We also noticed that
there was a row of shingles missing on the
front of the house just before the roof peak.
What Anderson roofing did was overlap the
roofing caps over the area where the last row
of shingles should have been . Upon viewing
the entire job , they cut corners on shingles
and spread them out to use less of them, is
what i was told . Attached is a picture
showing the work done . On the right hand
side of the picture, you can see that the roof
cap extends over the area where another row
of shingles should have gone . This is
definitely a very, very poor capping job on this
roof.
My advise is that you should make sure that
you hire a roofing company that is accredited
with BBB. In the onset of hiring Tracy
Anderson, she said that she honors all her
work . I am still waiting to hear back from her.
Once they fix this issue i will remove this post
. If it is still here and you have had similar
issues with Tracy Anderson please contact
me at ajsymchych@yahoo.com. We will
compare notes and possibly go for restitution
. At this point in time ,RUN RUN, RUN , when
approached by Anderson roofing for any work
Looking for recommendations on a roofing company to take a look at our roof. We had a leak during one rain storm...haven't had any before or since. Just wondering if this was a fluke or if we need a patch or new roof. Thanks!
