  Desiree P. wrote: Jean is a very professional, courteous and welcoming groomer. Her love of canines is obvious from the moment you walk into her home. My rescue dog had been nervous around strangers and had a few bad grooming experiences but Jean made him feel comfortable and offered different grooming options to me. She advertises stress free grooming and I must say that is the experience my pet receives every time he's there. I highly recommend Jean's services.

  610.935.2414 Hair of the Dog. Jean is the best! It is in her house and a very nice setting. She only grooms one dog at a time so it is a more relaxing atmosphere vs having dogs barking and running around. I take my dog there every 6 weeks and he loves it!

  this is a long shot for me but this site seems to give good advice to everyone else so I'm going to give it a try.....I am looking for a dog groomer in the Phoenixville/Kimberton area for a long coat German Shepherd. He is very hard to handle ... super protective...must be muzzled and sedated to go to vet..but the last time he was at the vet they took him from me and made me stay in waiting room and they didn't have as much trouble handling him...vet said.. "if you're not in the room he has nothing to protect and he's much easier to handle"........I would prefer that the groomer leave his muzzle on during grooming...if anyone can suggest an experienced groomer it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  Karen - I went to Hair of the Dog on Main St. & Washington Ave. in Phoenixville. Jean is the owner/groomer and she has"no stress grooming & advisory". 610-935-2414. She was great with Bailey, my golden mix.
