  Elaine, It's so important to take children to pediatric specialists. I originally took my daughter to Dr. Brezel for wild parsnip burns which were healing nicely. He gave her a hydrocortisone cream for the marks left behind. A few days later her face swelled up, became red, blotchy and pus started oozing from her face. I told him I thought she was having an allergic reaction to the hydrocortisone cream. So he said he'd give her A HIGHER DOSE!!! It turns out, she is a rare case and she IS allergic. I'm not upset that she had an allergic reaction but that he didn't believe me and wanted to give her a higher dose. Crazy! Long story short..I took her to Lee Dermatology.
