We are going to replace carpet with wood floors pretty soon. Does anyone have a company in mind that comes highly recommended? Also, we want a darkwood and are leaning towards pecan. Any yeas and nays? Thank you.

I'm with Jesse - most of my clients who have dark wood don't like it. It shows not only footprints but also dust. If you're set on dark floors, you may want to get a Roomba. :) Check out Surplus Warehouse in Temple. They are a clearance center and you can find flooring for less than half what you'd pay at most other stores. They don't have a huge stock, but if they happen to have what you want, you can save a lot of money. I use AJ's Carpet and Tile for installs. 254-535-7847. They also clean grout and stretch carpet.
