Tent replacement on PCT So I’m on the PCT right now, and a few nights ago I ripped a hole in my Lunar Solo, right at the top of the vestibule door. I’m pretty bummed about it, but that’s not important ATM.
As for right now, I need to find something to replace this tent, and sooner rather than later, because in its current state, I would have a bad night in my lunar solo if it were to really downpour. Anyone have suggestions for what I can do in the mean time? Lead times on tarps, tents, and bivys for all the ultralight cottage companies are way too long as it’s peak season and so they’re not really an option for me right now. Maybe a cheap tarp from a sporting goods store? I really don’t know what to do looking for any suggestions, thanks!

[backcountrygear.com](https://backcountrygear.com) has some SMD in stock, Lunar Solo included. Would have to seam seal on your own Yama Mountain Gear also has some stuff in the scratch and dent section. Some $50 tarps and $100 tents in there. I'm looking to upgrade/replace my puffy down jacket. Any recommendations? I have a Columbia one now which is fine but a bit bulky. Thanks in advance!!

just looked through some online sales and bought myself a down hoodie at 50% off--berghaus--it seems very nice, under a pound and stuffs tiny. I think I got one of the last ones because I dont see it now but look through the sales and backcountrygear.com, backcountry.com, campmor etc. The purpose of a down hoodie is to put on when you stop to eat or something, so it needs to be able to go on over your other layers. While moving in winter, especially x-country skiing, I wear a thin capilene turtleneck with a thin merino hoodie over it and then maybe if its really cold or windy a very lightweight and breathable windbreaker.
I want to start rock climbing. I've only ever done indoor, though. Recommendations on where to start. Also, what equipment will I need and are there any groups that go out and do this as a team regularly?

REI is my fav. Check their "outlet" on their website. Also, if you're a member you can get into their garage sales. I've also had great luck at Backcountry.com and Backcountrygear.com Almost all my gear was bought on close out or REI garage sale.
