I just moved here from Pennsylvania a few days ago. Prior to making the trip to Georgia I had my car checked out by a trusted mechanic who said I may need an axle replaced but he was not sure that the axle was the cause for the sound my car was making. I am looking for suggestions on where I can take my car to be looked at again. Thank you!

If you live in Phenix City, I take my car to Tracy's 1402 14 th Ave Phenix City, AL 36867 (334) 298-5180. He has fixed my car serveral times and I have never had a problem with his work. He will first look at your car and call you will a price before he works on your car..
My A/C hasn't been working...so today I took it in to get it fixed and the shop quoted me $1400! It needs a new compressor and an expansion valve. Can anyone recommend somewhere else to take it? Somewhere that does good work that doesn't charge an arm and a leg??! Thanks!!;)

Suggestions on a reliable yet cheap mechanic! We took a trip and my car is running rough now. We want to just have a check up on it to see what is wrong. Suggestions please. Preferably in Columbus.
