  I'm looking for a good physical therapist to help heal the avulsion fracture on my left ankle and rehab the sprain so I won't need surgery. I would love some recommendations. I'm currently seeing a therapist at Hands On Physical Therapy, but they keep leaving me with a student. While she is very nice, I feel she still has lots of questions but no one is there to guide her. She overworked my ankle one week, afterward it was swollen again and I was limping. Yesterday she did something to my back that made it ache all night. I'd like to help her learn, but I don't feel I should pay the same as I would a professional with years of experience. Is it normal for a practice to use a student/intern in this way?

  Mel, I tore my meniscus in two places on either side of my knee and had to work on it for three months and thereby really screwed it up.... I did have surgery (dr. Lubowitz in Taos) anyway I went to Therepy Solutions next to body in Santa Fe they are really really good and with a Dr.'s referral insurance will pay for it.... 984-9101..... If you need it in Alb. I am sure they would be happy to recommend good people in alb......
