There were things that were missed that we caught right away as soon as we moved in that should have been caught by our inspector. The hole in the wall that he said was fine and would leak was gushing out water the first rainfall and continues to do so (too scared to get an estimate). The box in the fireplace was not an electrical firebox it was the box for the fan in the fireplace. Also didn't catch that there were no screen on top of the chimney to make sure animals couldn't get in $300 fix. Our furnace was vented out the side of the wall, later when having our chimney guy come in he said it should be vented out the other side of the chimney instead of out the side per what the furnace recommends. It would cost us 3,000 to make it correct. The list goes on and on....he pointed out the obvious but missed the little things that an inspector should catch right away. At the time I thought he did a good job and paid him knowing now what was all missed I would've never paid him.

  We used AmeriSpec Home Inspection Service out of Racine 262-634-5000 his name is Tom Hermes. We have used him several times...He goes thru EVERYTHING!!!
