  I had a good experience with Patrick's in Batavia, but when I called them for a second job they were a lot higher than who I ended up hiring, which was Ric's Heating & Cooling in Geneva, (630) 334-3620. He's an older guy who runs a small company out of his house. He fixed my AC for about half of what Patrick's quoted.

  Ric's Heating and Cooling 630-334-3620 - he has done all our work in our house and has done Jason's parents in Glen Ellyn for 25 years. He has a reasonable rate and never tries to up sell you. He's fast and efficient - tell him the Bewicks sent you :)
