Very dishonest. My AC went out a month after I moved. My home warranty company sent out someone from A&A Precision. He was only there 5 mins and said that my evaporator coil was leaking. He said that AHS requires a "leak detection test" that cost $160. If I wasn't willing to pay it, he said he couldn't file the claim and started to walk out. Of course, I was willing to pay whatever it cost to get the AC fixed. So, he went back out into the garage momentarily and said that would be $235, ( the $75 service fee and $160.) He was in a hurry and wouldn't let me look for my checkbook, so I gave him $235 cash. By the time I got my money put back in my purse, he was heading out the door. I asked him for a receipt and he said it was on the counter. I found it and it said that I paid $160 cash for a leak test only, no mention of the service fee of $75, which is required by AHS to have someone come out. He was gone by the time I ran back to the door, so I immediately called the office at Precision. They said they couldn't do anything, bc he was out in the field, but that they would call me back in the morning, which they didn't. I talked to them sev times about it during the week, finally talking to the owner's wife. She told me that she would get me a receipt for this, as well as reimburse me for the leak test, (as AHS does not require this!) Instead, after I refused to let them do the repair, 1) because I didn't trust them, and 2) because their estimate was 30-50% over anyone else's., and AHS was going to make me pay the difference. Because I did not use them for the repair, they told AHS that I hadn't paid the $75 service fee, and then tried to subtract this from the $160 leak detection test, (which he obviously hadnt done.) However, she couldn't do the math right, and only sent me $65, In an attempt to make the math come out right, and make themselves look overly conscientious, she added in $5 for an $80 service fee, saying the technician made a mistake by $5. This still left a difference of $20, bc she did the math backwards, so she agreed to send me another $20. I got $85 back from $235, making my service call from them $170! Obviously, if the tech was trying to get an extra $160 from me, he wouldn't have left off the mandatory $75. (They do a lot of business with AHS and this tech had been there for yrs.) And there was no mention of it on my receipt, so the $80 was just another pure fabrication. Obviously, the whole business is crooked. I did find out from AHS that there are other service providers that they can send out for any service, so if you have an AC or furnace problem, a make sure they don't send out Precision.
