About us

Established in 1911, City Floral Garden Center is the oldest remaining greenhouse in Denver. City Floral was founded by the Lammermann family who originally built the greenhouse for cut flower production. Mr. Lammerman rode his bicycle down Colfax Avenue (then a dirt road), to deliver cut violets to the Brown Palace. The greenhouse continued production of cut flowers including carnations, roses, snapdragons, iris, tulips, poinsettias, and chrysanthemums until the 1970s when bedding plant and foliage production began its rise to create the garden centers of today. City Floral Greenhouse and Garden Center has grown into a full service lawn and garden center guaranteed to satisfy all your gardening needs. Discover everything you need (and want) for your garden, landscape or nursery within our massive garden store. During the holidays, holiday wreaths and Christmas trees are in abundance here! We offer live greenery and Christmas boughs too.

    Local plant nurseries wanted!! Hi all- I am looking to expand my green thumb and want to add some more green friends to my indoor plant family. I’ve found that Lowe’s doesn’t always have the best selection, and i am not a Home Depot fan. Most online places charge an arm and a leg just for shipping and i prefer to shop local! I’m looking for some places that you guys might get your plants/ plant pots and any recommendations on some pet plants i can add to my collection :) I currently have: Golden pothos, cebu blue pothos, red nerve plant, white nerve plant, snake plank, spider plant, aloe and a large majesty palm :) Thanks in advance!!
