  Hi Holly, Going off grid is a viable option for many if you are building a property on a rural block that will cost a lot to get the grid to. If you are already on grid then financially you are certainly better staying connected to the grid but using a solar system to run all your daytime usage. Going off grid certainly isn't cheap but if it's going to cost tens of thousands to get the grid there, it is a very good option. We have been operating on the coast for about 7 years now and specialise in grid connected and off grid solar. Nick is our off grid expert so I'd recommend giving him a call directly on 0424 109 314.
