  Last saturday our water heater sprung a leak and ended up ruining our carpet in the back hall, living room and dining room. The landlord replaced the heater and had someone remove the carpet PAD. The carpet smells and is brown, our house is all sorts of torn apart but he refuses to fix it until we move out in June. Does anyone know if there is something we can do?
