  I know it's been posted before but I scrolled and scrolled and couldn't find it. Can you guys recommend any overnight "dog hotels"? I'm going out of the country January 7-12 and my sister is going to watch Lilly 7-9 & then she is going away. It would most likely be late on the 9th and pick up early on the 12th.   Can anyone recommend a great kennel somewhat close to Patchogue? We have a 12 year old dog with separation anxiety. We've been told she does fine in a kennel environment when we leave her (she is also on anxiety medications). I know the weather last week may have contributed, but we just picked her up from the kennel today, after a week, and found her bald on one side and limping significantly. Of course we immediately took her to the vet who aid she suspects our dog was laying on her side on a hard possibly wet surface for a very long time. We were very upset that we did not receive a phone call while we were away, the kennel did not call our vet or theirs, and when we questioned it we were told she was fine and had been napping. Anyways, now the hunt is back on. Suggestions are greatly appreciated.

  I'd like to know what facility this happened at to know where not to bring my dogs! I do have a friend that comes and stays at the home. I also know people who have used hounds town port Jeff and farmingdale locations. And my gf uses cozy noses (islip or ronkonkoma area). May be worth a few extra mins from your home to have a place that you're happy with...

  i've been bringing my furbabies to Hounds Town in Ronkonkoma for years - they're great - they have 2 locations in suffolk (ronkonkoma & port jeff). the girls there are amazing - you don't have to pay extra for your dog to be "played with" or have human contact. it's an awesome day care & boarding facililty

  Hounds Town USA! They're awesome, I travel a lot in the winter and I know my dog will be safe and happy. Plus they almost always have room last minute.

  Can anyone recommend a boarding facility? Nassau or Suffolk, we will travel. We need to board our lab mix for 2 weeks in August and seems hard to find a good place where you don't have to pay for every little thing.
