Has anyone had their ACL fixed either abroad or the UK? Unfortunately I have snapped mine and I'm now debating to have it fixed in Austria or fly home. Any opinions or surgeons suggestions would really be appreciated.

LIsten to what Peter Joe Harkess said, lot's of pros and cons of a surgery right now. Best thing is to let the swellings go away before a surgery. If it had happened right now and the swellings had not started yet, then op ok. Definately shop around for the private clinics in Austria, the über one is http://www.dr-schenk.at/ he is doing all the athlets. I'm sure there are many top notch surgeons in the UK, not always good just to be a number in the line. When that is said I got one done in St. Anton some years ago and have had no problems with it. A client (British) got one done in Lech last year, no problem at all, and that was done the same day as the accident. Mine was done after the season, so I could keep working until the end. But the most important advice I can give you, start physio right know and keep having a physio to help you until you are back on skis! I'm waiting operation of LCL and PCL after a very bad fracture of my Tibia head just before x-mas, also my MCL got torn. But had it not been for the help of the physios I would be far from where I am right now. I wish you good luck and a speedy recovery.
