If I purchase on Taobao, I will get a better price and will have more information on the computer I'm buying. However, I'm a little nervous about shipping and what I would do if the machine is damaged during shipping. Are there any reputable computer stores in Suzhou I could visit? I'm also considering going to Hong Kong for the National Holiday and I could get a laptop there and avoid shipping. I've heard Hong Kong is a good place to get electronics. I will probably need to get the OS switched out for an English version of Windows as well; Does anyone have a tech contact in Suzhou that can help with that?

  Hi Jordan Duncan, if I were you, i won't buy it online, if had to buy it online, would choose on Jingdong.com instead of Taobao. usually, the goods won't be damaged, because it's full packed. however, the quality is the biggest issue. Buying in HK is good choice, but the cost for return tickets, you can easily buy one in Shenzhen Huaqiangbei, the biggest electronics market in China, with very good price. Do you have any budget on mind? which model or which brand you'd prefer?
