  Hi There! My husband and I received job offers based in Herzo and start 3/1. We literally just signed our offers this week and are relocating from the US. I have been following this group for a while and it seems like an amazing resource. I am trying to get some advice on daycare for our daughter. She will just have turned two by the time we start and have go-see happening in the next few weeks and would like to checkout a few places for her. This is very short notice so I am hoping there are some openings. We don't know exactly where we will live but likely it will be Herzo, Nuremberg, Furth or Erlangen. If anyone has recommendations on Daycares, that would be so helpful. Ones that are open until at least 5:30 would be the best. Ideally the most important thing that it is a very warm and happy environment! Thank you all in advance!

  For a non adidas one also ask relocation service . I work at adidas but chose the local village kindergarten as we live In small village outside nurnberg called behringersdorf which has an excellent new facility http://www.kita-blickwinkel.de/ I do know they are allocating places for sept 2015 right now as most will . Ask your relcator for a list from the stadt jugendampt ( town youth office) of available places if you want to start mid year or get them to call the kindergartens directly . If mid year is tricky for places I had a day mother ( tagesmutter) until a place came up in the September and kept her on for holiday shut downs and overnights since both me and my husband both work and travel. Tagesmutter - you can also get info from relocation service and a list of available places also from the jugendampt. I love my local kindergarten/krippe and my daughter speaks fluently German and English and she is 3. The adidas one is excellent too.
