About us
I believe the needs of children are to have positive role models, reasonable and consistent boundaries, coping strategies, to be nurtured, and to feel important. I can meet these needs by being a good role model, providing a safe learning environment, giving encouragement, helping work through difficult situations, letting the children know they are cared about and that what they think and feel are important. Taking care of children is my choice of profession. I enjoy caring for children and watching them grow and develop to their full potential.
The Blue Penguin Family Child Care is a home based licensed child care. I specialize in custom lesson planning geared toward the developmental level of my clients. During a typical day I like to incorporate art, sensory activities, dramatic play, large and small muscle activities, science, math, music, social studies, language and literature. Some of these activities will be offered during free choice time. I also love to have parties and celebrate holidays. I will conduct activities and talk about all Christian holidays and some multi-cultural holidays.
