hello! I'm wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a good low-cost veterinarian? i haven't been able to work since the accident in August and my cat keeps scooting her butt on the ground so i think it's time take her in for a checkup. thank you!

Recommendations for cat vets downtown or on Near East/West side? Hello, fellow Madisonians,
My family adopted two wonderful kitties from the Dane County Humane Society last Thursday, and I've been looking to get them in for vet checkups. We took our old cat to Companion Animal Hospital off Gammon, but I was hoping to find a good vet a little closer to downtown where we live and work. Any suggestions?

Whole Pet. They are amazing. They went above and beyond for my two kitties, and I cannot recommend them enough. I have another amazing vet here in Verona, otherwise I would be driving all the way downtown with my pup to see them. 529 South Park Street www.wholepetclinic.com/
Anyone reccommend a good reliable veterinarian for teeth cleaning of a Yorkie? I was quoted $400 by our present Vet! I really don't think the dog needs xrays of her gums, etc.

Try Whole Pet Veterinary on Park. We have gone there for several years now, and their prices and service is good. 270-1070--tell them I sent you--I think they used to give a discount, but I don't know if they still do.
Looking for a veterinarian referral on the west side of Madison.

Any veterinarian recommendations for my dog? I have been going to the same vet for my dog since she was a puppy. She is now five years old. During the last few visits I have become unhappy with their service. They seem to over-prescribe meds, always seem to be in a hurry, and it always seems to be a different doctor or tech every visit. Their dietary knowledge seems lacking, which I hear is surprisingly common among vets.
I am a believer in diet playing the most integral role in the wellness of your pet, as well as exercise, and that meds should be used only when necessary.
With all of this in mind, does anyone have vet recommendations for my 5 year old healthy golden/poodle mix?
By the way.... here is the [dork](http://i.imgur.com/9PplC.jpg) in question

We bring our cats to [Whole Pet](http://www.wholepetclinic.com/) on Park st. We've never had any complaints, but we've never done any serious medical stuff with them either (thet are still young and healthy).
