Hi everybody... I will try my first post on this group. I own a tired 4867 (225 Conv) and decided to tear it to bits and redo it myself. I am not a seasoned mechanic and work on it in the center of Paris (yes France !) in an open car parking garage... The apt's kitchen table has seen many parts and I keep degreasing parts in the bathtub to a minimal. At least now I can work a few parts at work. My question is: the car had a saggy rear end. i have taken out the rear springs (rusty). I have found a place that makes springs. I was asked to give my old springs so they could make new ones. I am worried that this wont give me the results I am looking for. Where can I get the springs specifications to build new ones ? Anyone have the specs or has anyone ever had some redone ? Any recommendations ? I don't want the end to be too high or too low... What should I do ? I have seen springs sold in America (I could order) but with no model specific applications (sabre vs electra vs convertible etc...). Did they have all the same springs (I doubt it) ?
