Any parents have recommendations for acting/theater classes in the area? I've heard there will be camps at the rec this summer but other suggestions? For an 8 year old? Thanks!

There are so many! I own my two businesses one theater and one music school, but I have worked at eight theaters in this area before owning my own! Lots of positive things to say! RMTK (rocky mountain theater for kids) Does HUGE productions, lots of money for big sets/multiple costume changes etc, big shows, lots of kids--so if that's what you are looking for great! I don't know if that was mentioned yet. Backstory theater is just delightful--I have been to a couple of shows there, very organic process oriented. Lots of my students take summer shows at BDT Boulder Dinner theater, or Art Underground. We seem to trade students a lot and both have very good instructors with legally purchased rights for all their shows (which is really important…) THose are more "pay for a camp and get a show" not process oriented more product oriented. Reel Kids, is my company and we are doing four different musicals Little women, Honk jr., Rent and Avenue Q. We have very limited registration as we keep our student-to-staff ratio very low (5 to 1). Reel Kids is process and Product oriented. read about us www.myreelkids.com ANY Of these theaters are very good though! I love seeing people interested in the arts! Find a place that fits your needs :) Happy theater hunting!
