  Two or three good venues I've come across lately in the county, if you're looking for decent food. The Red Lion in Sittingbourne High St has a competitively priced menu at lunchtimes with accompanying beers and wines to match. The Dover Castle in Teyham is well worth paying for with a specials board that differs each day and again some accompanying drinks to wash it down. The third place I can recommend is a café come restaurant in the grandly titled Mid Kent Shopping Centre at Allington. Not licensed but with food this good as well, you'll not be sorry. My favourite out of the three. Food always piping hot, and I mean piping hot, not particularly generous portions at least for me(!) but all pies, puddings, etc. are made there and then. Go visit any of them and see if you don't agree.
