Can anyone recommend someone to come out and do some ground work with me and my ex-racer? Just helping me learn how to do desensitisation, stop him being bolshy, improve our bond, etc? In Nutfield area.

Thanks Elena Papazoglou :) my biography is a bit boring but I work as an equine behaviourist in Surrey, check out my website www.learningaboutanimals.co.UK for the behaviour section

Suzanne Rogers - equine behaviourist. Doing wonders for me and my girl. Suzanne is an animal welfare consultant specialising in animal welfare education. She previously managed the working equine projects at the World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA). A key part of this role was to develop and test participatory methodologies – working within communities to lead to a change in the way people manage and care for their animals. Suzanne led the move away from a heavy focus on mobile clinics in the working equine projects towards prevention through participatory approaches with animal owners. To reflect the broad applicability of the approach to other species she became the Technical Advisor for Human Behaviour Change Programmes. Suzanne also runs Learning About Animals and is a trustee of two charities - TAWS (working animals) and CFAF (Change For Animals Foundation).
Found a venue to hold classroom style talks/lectures. So putting the feelers to you guys what are the sort of subjects/topics/demo's you guys would like to know more about? What sort of time is good to fit in with your busy schedules and ticket prices on the doors or in advance....open to all suggestions as think this would be great for the horsey people of surrey. many thanks Admin :)

I've been going to some of the lectures that Learning about Animals have been putting on locally for years, I wonder why more people from this group haven't, as there is obviously a lot of interest. Learning is always good :-) Where would your talks be held Jo?

Stacey Bevan, check out her FB page. https://www.facebook.com/GoodVibrationsHolisticBalancingforanimals?fref=ts Or if you are interested in equine behaviour from a scientific but compassionate perspective then I am an equine behaviourist based in Guildford area (see www.learningaboutanimals.co.uk) and also Catherine Bell is local and a compassionate 'thinking' behaviourist too. If you want to meet us we are hosting the Thinking Horsemanship weekend this weekend coming and there are a few places left. In the evening is a separate talk all three (Stacey, Catherine and Suz) of us will be at too.
