  Where to stay and eat for an Anniversary night in Portland! Hey! I'm hoping for some recommendations on a cool place to stay for a night, and go out for dinner to celebrate a 6-year anniversary. We are coming from Seattle, and spending a Friday night in Portland before going on an 8 day road trip down the West Coast. This is taking place in two weeks by the way. We are hoping for something unique but affordable. I found the PERFECT lodging but there is no availability for the night I'll be there. It was the Caravan Tiny House Hotel (https://tinyhousehotel.com). It was reasonable priced, and near a cool looking restaurant (Ned Ludds). So, with that taste in mind, any ideas on a cool spot to stay that's near a cool restaurant to eat at? I just don't want to spend a crazy amount to stay at a generic hotel, and I haven't found anything on Airbnb as of now (and I don't know the area at all). Thanks Portland!

  Depending on your dates the [Bluebird Guesthouse](http://www.bluebirdguesthouse.com/index.html) may have availability. I've stayed here on a romantic get-away and highly recommend. [McMenamins Hotels](http://www.mcmenamins.com/Hotels) are always unique. I would recommend Grand Lodge, Edgefield, or Kennedy School. If you're interested in more fancy-schmancy stays, [the Nines](http://www.thenines.com/) is really popular and right in the middle of downtown.
