  My family is looking for a med/lrg size dog. Must be kid and other dog friendly. We don't have any dogs but there are many in the neighborhood. I'd like to find one that can be left inside without eating the walls while no one is home, and not a runner (bolts out the door as soon as its open even if they were just walked) no pit or pit mixes because of BSL in my town.   Does any of the rescues offer senior citizens discount? My mother is looking for an adult dog. She wants something that is very calm, she is somewhat disabled and afraid a hyper dog will make her fall. It needs to get along with cats and be housebroken. Vet references can be provided and fenced yard is already there. She lives on a modest income so hoping for senior discount. Thank you in advance. Located in Leavenworth.
