  I need some advice. My car is blowing clouds of oil smoke when I downshift and when stopped at lights, guessing it's ringlands (yes I know, please don't rub it in). I have a warranty through a third party but bought the car at carmax. I am allowed to bring the car to any ASE certified mechanic and would prefer to bring it to a mechanic that specializes in subaru (I don't trust carmax to do the work). Can you guys recommend a good mechanic who will keep it on the downlow that I've done mods to the car? And also, can you give insight into the way the warranty works. Will they have someone come inspect the car before the mechanic does work on it? I've heard that the third party will have an inspector come out if the claim is high enough...

  Greg@Slodrive racing is awesome. http://www.slodriveracing.com/ He's been great with all the work I've tasked him with on my '15. Every time I drop my car off there is an EVO or WRX/STi getting a new motor dropped in.
