  Good evening Mayor, I just wanted to take a few minutes to thank you and the city council for the many hours of hard work that were put into the decision concerning the ordinance for "Home Occupations". So many emotions for so many people. I pray those that may be affected may find opportunities that will prosper their lives and their families. This truly was the best decision for the community of North Ogden. I am a family member of a former business owner that operated in a business district. Not in a residential area. I do have a question; Is there a list of business names that this impacted? other than the list of "Types of Business's". I am especially interested in one type of business that was not on the list, and that is roofing companies. Rands Roofing in particular is what I am referring to. Will they be filling out an amortization form that would require them to move their business elsewhere, out of our residential area?

  Mayor Taylor, I have lived on 2275 North just west of Washington Blvd for about 3 years now and have always wondered why our streetlights are always out. Do you know why that is? There have been so many times that kids/teenagers have almost been hit on this street at night because we can not see them. Also, and my biggest concern. What needs to be done to get the cement island removed that blocks access to our street? Does someone need to die there before this gets removed? We put our lives at risk everyday when we leave or come home. Thanks!

  Hi Brittany Thomas, as to the streetlight being out, we probably just don't know that it is burned out. Please report burned out street lights or other Public Works concerns by calling 782-8111 or by using this link: http://www.iworq.net/iworq/Web/Request.asp?cityid=75&fid=703 or by going to www.northogdencity.com and selecting "Public Works" from the "Departments" tab. Once you enter a work order, we will put it on the list to get fixed. You can also track the status of your work order using this same link.
