Hi there. I’m pretty sure my dog (golden retriever, 4 years old) ruptured her ACL, she’s now limping on three paws since two days. It’s was expected because she has a know congenital deformity of both her knees, which creates her ACL to always be stretched on both back paws. Note that we do not let her run, only walk, due to her condition (and she ruptured it walking).
We saw two vets by now: one vet is suggesting surgery while the other his suggesting stopping all activities and letting her rest? Even for pain medication, one vet is suggesting pain medication while the other said it could worsen her condition. I’m trying to read on the internet and it is like 50-50 for surgery.
Anybody has suggestion of treatment? Anyone had the same issue with his dog or had the surgery done for his dog? I sincerely want the best for my dog but right now, all info are so all over the place that I’ve no clue what to do. Thank you.
