  Looking for either a DJ or someone who can make/montor and handle a playlist for an upcoming celebration event at a local restaurant. It is a wedding but not a typical wedding - My partner and I are getting married, this JUNE, Saturday June 13th. Small place, maybe 100 people tops - 3 hour gig. Gotta get the folks up and moving, uptown funk, disco, 80's music, Motown. Music is VERY important, but I have a SMALL SHOESTRING BUDGET. No bells, whistles, or lights. No cheesy announcements. NO 1st dance crap - sorry, it's not me. No father daughter dance (well, maybe, but not a typical one) We are cool, older folks. Any suggestions for a good dj or someone who does low-key gigs like this? The place is local and small.

  Hey Denine and Liz - this is a link to my friend, Denise Bruckno, who has a live group - not sure if the style would work, but it would be worth a call. I don't know if you are interested in going in the live music direction. Usually the price is competitive with DJ's and the live component adds so much. Her musicians are top-notch Philly people and do a wonderful job. http://musicmattersinc.net/
