  I don't like to complain, and I don't think you have ever seen a negative post that I have posted, BUT, I have been stewing about this for some time. There is a log truck that goes by my house on State Ave. and he turns on his jake brakes right before my house and turns them off after he gets by my house. If I have angered someone, please tell me, and I will apologize so he will stop. This morning it was at 6:00 am. My windows are open in the summer and it sounds like that truck is in bed with me. If you know a log truck driver that this could possibly be, would you please let them know. Thank you.

  I think a solution might be to call the Vernonia Police non-emergency number (503-429-7335?) Ilene and see what they would suggest. As to staffing, they could answer that question, too. They can only act when information is given. I wouldn't think it would be a formal complaint but a citizen request. I'm not trying to get the drivers in trouble but if they knowingly disregard the law, they might need a reminder. Just my opinion here, folks.
