Looking for a good coffee bean source. Nothing in any store has been decent... been buying beans at Starbucks but they are always out or don't bother to keep stocked. Thanks in advance.

Starbucks will be out for awhile I think. I have heard it's a customs issue for the retail beans. But maybe that's for the best. :) Unfortunately, I haven't found a consistently (keyword) good roaster in Suzhou. There is a place between Global 188 and XInghai Square in the underground passage called Dainty Cup. He used to be good. Not so much anymore. I gave up. So you have to leave and go to Shanghai. Or order on their websites and get it quickly. A 25 minute train ride + 15 minute taxi is worth it to me :) http://sumeriancoffee.com is the best in Shanghai. http://cambiocoffee.com is quite good. Both of the above can be added to your Kate & Kimi order to Suzhou too! Also very good: http://www.seesawcoffee.comhttp://cafevolcan.com There are some other independents in Shanghai that are very good, but with the four above I am quite satisfied. I keep playing with the idea of stocking coffees from Shanghai for my friends here. Maybe have some sampling days. Note: the best coffee is consumed within 2 weeks of roasting. That won't happen with the Starbucks retail beans if/when they make it back to China. You can buy fresh roasted WHOLE beans in Shanghai and keep in your freezer and only pull out what you use. But don't grind until right before using.
