I hired him back in 2019 for a custody case & child support case ONLY because my daughter's father Matthew Dubbs Kane was hiding income from Canterbury Country Club & from his job as a barber/cosmetologist & Mr PerDue said it would be easy to prove by issuing subpoenas & looking up his cosmetology license that needs to be renewed every year. He knew I didn't actually need him for the custody case because my daughter's father refused to quit using MDMA & cocaine & had already been caught repeatedly lying to the court, but the child support was a huge deal. He also told me that he was going to file for retroactive support from the day our daughter was born as well as attorney's fees. Again, this was the ONLY reason he was hired & given a $2,500 retainer that he knew I was borrowing until the court order would've gone through! However, on the day of our support hearing, it was via phone because of covid & the court was having issues with 5 of us on the line (the magistrate, my daughter's father, me & both of our attorneys), so we all had to hang up & were supposed to get a call back. My daughter's father & I never did though. Instead, Mr PerDue went on the record agreeing that my daughter's father had NO INCOME, allowing him the cheapest possible amount of support when he knew that he was making around $80,000 a year! He also agreed to allow my daughter's father to claim her on taxes every other year even though he only had supervised visits because of his drug abuse. Mr PerDue also didn't even TRY to ask for attorney's fees or back support! Then when I found out, he said that I could pay him more to appeal it! This man is a con artist & honestly needs a class action lawsuit filed against him for blatantly stealing people's money knowing he's not going to do what he was hired to do then trying to press them for more to fix what he knowingly messed up! He has NO BUSINESS being able to practice law! This has devastated my life considering I still owe the loan I'd taken out to hire him & have been unable to navigate the kerbal system to fix what he screwed up on purpose! BEWARE OF THIS SCAMMER!
