Our impression of Adams Brothers Painting of Plattsburgh, NY:
Untrustworthy. Uncommunicative. Unprofessional.
We hired Adams Brothers Painting to paint our tudor-style house in October, 2020. Their estimate stated surface preparation, including a “pressure wash,” which was not done. The paint started flaking and falling off three months later. All spring and summer, I attempted to contact Sam and Seth Adams to come and fix their faulty work, but they largely ignored my calls and texts (see below). Finally, in October, 2021, Sam came by to look at the house and promised to scrape, prime and repaint the affected areas. I bought additional primer for him to do his work. In April, 2021, he texted back that he would schedule ladders to do the work (see below)…but he never followed through. Both Adams brothers stopped returning my communications. I took Adams Brothers Painting to Small Claims Court to try to recoup some of the $6,500 they charged me for their faulty work. The judge presiding in the case declared that Adams Brothers Painting’s approach was “no way to run a business,” and we agree. I advise you to avoid hiring Adams Brothers Painting.
