Write down what you are going to tell them and ask them. Do NOT stop when you find a good one. Interview the others. Tell them you are also talking to the others, say their names and see if they say something about the other one. And get a male attorney. Unfortunately, on the whole, this will result in better outcomes for you.

When they first gave me the package, they said that if I received it in an email it meant I was agreeing to it. So basically, they wouldn't even let me review the documents until I complained to the EEOC which is when the investigator added a new charge of retilation. The bullying got so bad that I was involuntarily committed into the hospital. I'm looking for any good recommendations. I did some Googling, but was a bit weary of fake reviews or paid advertising. Another state is handling the charge, but I just moved out of state. They told me that it doesn't matter that I moved out. Am I supposed to get an attorney in my former state?

There are several disputable aspects about the charge: the initial alleged infraction that resulted in the stop, the officer's justification for searching without consent, and the field test used to ID the organic matter. The driver was released but will be required to return to SLC for court. You could also call your local Bar Association for a few referrals, they should be able to give you some options based on your income. I don't have any experience with unbundled services. You best bet at getting a good lawyer in your county/area would be to contact your local bar association. If you're near a major city they will probably have one (e.g. a salt lat city bar association), but otherwise you can contact the Utah State Bar Association and they should be able to help you.

The Wake County Family Court office, on the 11 th floor, has custody packets for unrepresented parties. These have instructions and sample forms you can use to prepare your paperwork. They also have the phone number for the File It Yourself clinic, which is an group of attorneys who offer drafting services for court documents, on a sliding scale. There is a pamplet at the Wake County Family court office which explains their fees for this service. I do not know if they offer ANY legal advice on your claims (I'm inclined to think they do NOT), but they can at least help you prepare the paperwork for filing. You've mentioned service issues- not knowing where the father/ opposing party is living. You may need to hire a private investigator to do an address search to try to locate his address- even if only his last known address. If you cannot obtain good service on him, you won't be able to do much, so getting good service is a first priority. PI's usually charge less than $100 for a basic background/address search. Some attorneys have access to search tools, too (I do) to try to do a search, as well, without having to hire a PI (they aren't perfect, so sometimes a PI is still necessary). If you cannot obtain service by certified mail, return receipt requested or by Sheriff (which will require his exact current address), with the last known address you may be able to obtain valid service by publication. However, publication is more expensive, so its usually worth spending a little $ up front to try to get a good current address (in the end, its cheaper do so a search via PI than to serve by publication). All that said, it may be well worth spending a couple hundred dollars to have an initial consultation with a family law attorney to discuss the merits of your case. You've seen some suggestions above. You can also call the NC Bar Association's Lawyer Referral Service to request a referral from their list of attorneys. AVVO.com also is a lawyer directory many lawyers (all practice areas) are on (you can search your area and specific legal issues). And of course, you can just do a Google search. If you do the search on your mobile device, it usually produces lawyers located within a certain mile radius of the location in which you did your search (as well as the ones who have paid for ad placement). Hope this helps!

Anyways, today, she postponed for todays "last pass" only to get ANOTHER "LAST PASS" on June 31 st.

I am finishing a case now where the judge awarded my client, the father, sole legal and sole physical custody. Mom only gets 2 hours a week of parenting time. I am not saying this can happen in every case, but the facts were with my client. I had another case the end of last year where father has custody and mother was seeking parenting time, and it was denied too, again the facts supported my client. I know I posted before about avvo.com, but it is a great source. While client’s comments are there too, you should look to the attorney comments. This is because client reviews are based on outcome most of the time, and in some cases the case a client has is bad and would result in bad comments and where a good outcome would result in good comments. Attorney reviews are based on what an attorneys see other attorneys doing with the case and facts that they have. The idea of an out of county attorney may not be the best idea. Our local attorneys have a good feel for our judges. The first case I am referring to, the mother had three out of county attorneys. The case even went to the Court of Appeals during trial, my firm also won on the appeal. As to the comment about what others think about me. I’m sure you can find people that hate me and others that love me and my firm, the same with most attorneys and firms. Our firm is very laid back until it comes to being in court. Yes, we refer to my Port Huron office as PoHo and the Marine City office as MarineTown. Sorry if this offends people. As for the quality of service my firm provides, the NACDA named me as one of the top ten attorneys in the State of Michigan, the only St Clair County attorney named in 2013 (www.national-academy.net/attorneys/attorneys-michigan). I would also like to say we have a great local bar in this county and none of us can win all cases for a client based on the facts and delay in hiring an attorney. Mr Clark, I hope you find an attorney that will work hard for you, regardless who you hire. I hope you do not go at this alone. Even if you don’t have an issue TODAY any longer, as I see many people post when its all over in court, seek out an attorney to talk about what you want and see if a plan can be put in place. Too often someone wants something and they want it now and don’t have their ducks in order. Again, best wishes
