  I have severely hurt my back. I have never been to a doctor in the area. Any recommendations who would be accepting new patients? I'm going to be honest, I don't even know how one goes about getting a primary physician (recent ish college grad). Any help would be much appreciated.

  I go to a mercy health office off alpine, I see Dr. Kliphuis and have seen many of the Physicians Assistants there and have had only positive experiences. Kliphuis is a woman but Elsen and Nguyen are male doctors there. I am a pharmacy tech at a local pharmacy too and we see lots of their patients and they're pretty responsive with rx refills and stuff. Whichever practice you end up going with just call them up and let them know you're a new patient and need to set up an appointment.   I used to work for jill rolinksi at advantage health on 3 mile and alpine. She's a great doctor and super nice person. Young and personable. Their number is 685-8150. She usually has openings but does not work Tuesdays
