Is there a decent New Mexican restaurant around? I've tried Anita's- close, but no cigar.

Don't give Anita's too much hurt. They work in a pinch and do what they can with the available markets. They also have sopapillas, although they are way too thick. I make the best in the area BTW. Also, their chile is lacking. Going to be hard to really find a place that tastes like home because all the ingredients are going to be just a little different. Sadly, Santa Fe Cafe in Arlington had it good (though with no sopapillas), but they closed about a year ago. Have not been to the Mateo's Santa Fe in Dumfries but they have provided some sides for the annual UNM Chile Roast. http://www.mateossantafecafe.com/
