My parents are coming for a visit, and they want to do a nice afternoon tea while they're here (not a high tea, just some sweet cakes or something). I've been looking at the tea room sites, and everything seems extraordinarily expensive. £16 PER PERSON for tea and scones? Am I reading this right? Anyway, does anyone have suggestions for a good place to go that won't cost so much?

  THE FAN MUSEUM! It's in Greenwich and it's a really hilarious museum of fans in a historic house. The total is £8 or £9 per person because it's a small entry fee and £6 per person for tea. They give you A TON of stuff for tea, including a selection of cakes, HUGE scones, an icecream sundae cup of clotted cream and homemade jam.
