To assist Boxer dogs in crisis through responsible rehoming as well as education of the Boxer community about the breed’s physical and mental requirements, the importance of appropriate social and behavioural training, timeous sterilization, vaccination and microchipping. OUR VISION: Every Boxer dog will be viewed as a feeling, sentient being, a canine companion for a human who is fully aware of the breed’s physical and emotional needs.
To see a South Africa where every Boxer dog that is unregistered with either the Kennel Union of South Africa (KUSA) or the Federation of Boxer Clubs of South Africa (FBCSA) is sterilized by 6 months. In addition, sterilisation should apply to those registered Boxers carrying genes for inheritable conditions such as congenital heart disease, hip and elbow dysplasia and juvenile kidney disease. Boxer Rescue South Africa does not get involved in any "helping to SELL" scenario.
We have a strict protocol of home checks and home screening, as do all reputable rescue and animal rehoming organisations worldwide. These protocols are in place to protect the animals whose rehoming has been entrusted to us. The process involves an application to adopt which, if passed, is then followed by a comprehensive home check by a Boxer Rescue South Africa representative. We do not charge for this service, we simply insist as part of the... show more adoption process that animals adopted through us are sterilised, microchipped and kept up to date on their vaccinations and deworming. Should the dog(s) you wish to adopt require any of these mandatory procedures, it will be for your account. This is also in keeping with globally accepted rehoming protocols and is done to protect the animals and ensure their continued wellbeing.
We do not allow racial or hate-based comments. We will delete such posts and therefore urge all to voice opinions in a manner which is not based on race or ethnicity or any other grouping. Animal cruelty occurs across the board and is not exclusive to race, ethnicity, gender, age or income.
