  Need TWO different recommendations please! I have a 93-year-old wooden bungalow house and my windows are still the original. I am sad to have to replace them because they truly are beautiful in all their warped and uneven glory - but the reality is they are leaking heat and a/c like crazy. I have no insulation in my walls. The air just escapes out all my windows, and my monthly power bill is ridiculous. Can anyone recommend a good and reasonably priced window company? Two of the window sills that are on the side of my house that never gets direct sunlight are rotting away too. They will have to be replaced. On top of that, once my windows are replaced I need to hire a painter to re-paint the exterior. Any recommendations? The last company that painted before I purchased the house did a shoddy job. They didn't prime, or use a paint for high humidity.. They didn't even paint behind light fixtures!

  Our house is 107 years old and we live along a busy street. We have an upper level office space with windows along 3 sides. The windows were very old and not insulated at all. We had them replaced earlier this year and it was a dramatic difference in noise reduction and insulation. They are now double pained windows which are much stronger and quieter, and insulation was also put into the walls around them. We got the windows from Lowes and the contractor was Bobby Williams with CTG Improvements Inc. They did an awesome job and I highly recommend them.
