  I am looking for a "port converter". My A/C 3.5mm jack in my laptop does not work and I am told there is such a thing as a USB that has a 3.5mm jack on the other end. It would look like the photo below. Does anyone know of a local computer repair place that might sell something like this? I'm able to travel by bus, and while cost IS a factor, I'd just love to go to a store and ask/look around. I cannot buy online because I don't have a credit card (and no pre-paid at the moment), so I'm looking for a computer repair shop OR a person who might know how to get around this problem. I love my computer speakers, but cannot use them as the jack is "dead". Thanks!

  I brought my laptop in to Sergio at Fox-it this morning for a tune-up and it was done by dinner and he did a great job. Got rid of viruses, malware etc. and it's running just like new again. Quick turnaround for a reasonable price - I definitely recommend them if you're looking for computer service.
