  Susan O. wrote: The absolute WORST Veterinarian. Steer clear. She does not consider anything that pet parents have to say. Your pet’s health should be a collaborative conversation. When we questioned the diabetic food that she prescribed it was not a conversation. We told her that our cat was starving because he wouldn’t eat it and we needed to look at other alternatives. She told us “we can’t recommend that”, even though our alternative was more expensive than what she recommended and nutritionally the same. I guess she wasn’t getting “a cut” because we didn’t order it through her office. She is awful. Only cares about profits. We switched vets and the new vet requested the medical records. When she found that out, she sent a register return receipt package with our cat’s medical record and a letter to say that she is discharging out cat and will charge us for outstanding services. Can’t imagine what that would be since they will not give you your animal back until you give them a credit card! THE WORST VET EVER! And not a very nice person either.(Dr. Linda Treglia).

If you know their reduced pricing, I would be grateful if you would share that too. I just called Grady Animal Hospital, and they have no openings until maybe January.   Island Rescue, but if it's something serious they don't have the facilities to do more testing, etc so you will have their vet bill then another if they can't follow through. If I have a sick cat, I use Twins on Main Street, Bay Shore. They are really nice in there.

  Your welcome, I know of a vet who does this type of surgery but she is New Hyde Park and not low cost…however she is VERY GOOD! Island Rescue number is (631)968-8700. They have a a few different vets who work there so maybe 1 or 2 of them will do this type of surgery, you never know right?

  And there is alway Island Rescue in bayshore on Clayton Avenue. They are low cost veterinarian care, I would give them a call and see what surgery's they do and cost.

  I'm wondering if somebody can give me some direction or help! I have a female stray who I've been feeding daily. She is friendly to me. Last night she came with 2 males in tow...she is obviously in heat. I grabbed her and got her into a small dog cage. She is now warm and angry in my garage. I need to get her to a vet to be fixed and have an injured leg looked at. I cannot get her into a carrier. Any suggestions? I was thinking of drugging her (I have some canine acepromazine laying around). Thanks for any help!!

  Island Rescue in Bay Shore or Patchogue would see the cat. don't take the cat out of the cage & chance losing her; you may never get her again. Patchogue is by appt., Bay Shore will spay her without an appt.

  Go to island rescue right now with her in the cage and bring the carrier. Ask them to put her back in the carrier.

  Island Rescue in Patchogue is no longer doing spay neuter...but def keep her in the dog crate or if u can put a carrier in crate with catnip and treats all the way in back of carrier. When she goes in close carrier door.

  I have a question, for a few days now our fur baby has had a leaky eye, watering, eye boogys that are clear and she keeps it closed sometimes. A friend that is also on this page said she could have a cold, she was sneezing, or it could be allergies because of the weather change. It's not getting better though. She has been able to open it more but it's still running. I keep wiping it with a warm cloth, does anyone know where I can get any ointment or eye drops that will help from a pet store or does anyone know any low cost places I can take her to get checked out?
