About us
Smiles On Us Day is an event that brings together local dentists, oral surgeons and hygienists, as well as public and primary healthcare professionals and other dedicated volunteers to provide free oral health services to local Ottawa residents.

Many people in our community struggle to support themselves and their families, and oftentimes, regular dental care is a luxury they simply can't afford. Recognizing a growing need in the community following the recent economic downturn, local resident, Amanda Fayad and her colleagues at Chapman Mills Dental were inspired to do something about it. Having never set up a grass roots organization before Amanda was daunted by the task until her friend Barbara urged her to pursue this dream further. Very sadly, Barbara died December 13th, 2011. Her strength and her love for her community helped Amanda and a dedicated team of dental professionals, make Smiles on Us a reality.
