Hey to the experienced runners!! A few months ago, I went to 3 Sports in need of being fit for running shoes that supported myself & my feet, due to having issues with pain in my arches & tendons; well as of today, I still am having that same pain. Today I decided to follow advice of some other runners close to me and try Fleet Feet! And I must say, the manager there absolutely educated me!! The current shoe that I have from 3 Sports is the Asics Nimbus 16. According to the manager that I spoke with today at Fleet Feet, this shoe is 1) a half size to small for running, 2) does not support my wide upper foot area, and 3) does not support my foot where I need it to, and I am an extreme under pronator. This is very disappointing since shoes are not cheap. So, the man assisted me with some shoes to support my feet, and fit me for the Brooks Glycerin 12 and Hoka One One (which I think I will crack my ankles with) and explained to me why they would help me! So, today I didn't buy new shoes (because the asics are new) but I did buy some insoles for now.
Does anyone have any suggestions on shoe hunting? I know it's a process! How long did it take you guys to find the right shoe? Anyone have the same issues?
