Now in its 21st year, this successful charitable event takes place every year over the May Day Bank Holiday weekend .
Over 50 themed scarecrows are made and displayed by residents of this beautiful and historic Wiltshire village. Visitors can buy a Trail Map and Programme and walk around the village solving the clues and matching them to the scarecrows. A special Children's Quiz is also available, with special picture clues for them to solve at each scarecrow location. Prizes are awarded for the best entries, and there is a lucky programme draw.
All proceeds go to village and community good causes in Urchfont, and a large donation is also given to the Wiltshire Air Ambulance each year.
Around the village pond a barbeque serving high quality, locally made burgers and sausages, a tea tent serving real home-made cakes, and a beer tent serving locally brewed real ales add to the lively atmosphere.
