  Looking for a good puppy trainer that isn't going to break me and looking for puppy play dates. She is 4 months old and a hand full! She has alot of energy and doesn't really listen. She is very stubborn and wants to listen when she wants too. I have never had this issue with any of my babies but this one is a little different.

  We are thinking of adopting a big dog from the Orange County Humane Society here in Huntington Beach. The dog has been with them for a year, and he's about two years old. Does anyone know of a place where we can take the dog to get good training as soon as possible? Since he has been in a kennel for so long, we are worried that the transition from shelter to home will be difficult. I would really appreciate suggestions!

  We have use City of Costa Mesa Park & Rec@Tewinkle Park (by the fairgrounds)....Teresa Botello....she has made a world of difference with Kito (adopted Doberman) ....and Roman knows it but is a poor student. I have had private classes with a different trainer who was not as effective. It's about $75 for a 6 week course ...you have to do the homework, that's the hardest part. There will be another class starting in Aug or Sept. She has large and small dogs, which is a bonus. I've seen a lot of improvement in several dogs in her class. The other thing I like is that she doesn't use treats to train. www.bratdog.biz. She also does in home training.
