  I just got a house-trained 6 year old fixed border collie Toby from a coworker (who has a cat so they didn't mingle well). I have $100 credit for obedience classes & wanna use it for his Alpha dog humping & some jumping up on people. Any recommendations? SPCA classes have prerequisites so it adds up. Thanks!

  He barked a lot during the night so a few people mentioned the spray bottle. However, a friend thinks it may backfire - make him resent me & learn to avoid water (??) A new dog walker suggested shaking coins in a glass jar when he goes on the couch so I'll try this for the barking.
