  I had a good experience with [Wheaton Worldwide](https://www.wheatonworldwide.com/) when I relocated to DC in 2012. My opinion is that any long distance move is going to inevitably suffer a few glitches. It's a good idea to have a plan to deal with delays.

  Any advice on moving companies? I checked PODS and PackRat and they don't service the area. If anyone has anyone they would recommend I'd love to hear it. It seems like all moving companies are just slammed online. I have yet to find one without a ton of complaints. (I will be so glad when this is over!)

  Wheaton Worldwide Moving just brought all our stuff from NJ and I have yet to find anything broken. They delivered directly to our rental house in PA. Price was very reasonable. http://www.wheatonworldwide.com
