We have been in Mexico without health insurance and all the companies I have called indicated that I can't get health insurance as I am not leaving from Canada. Maybe there is a Mexican insurance company? Please help - we are leaving Sunday!

  In the past I have purchased travel medical insurance from this Canadian company http://travelinsuranceoffice.com They allow you to get the insurance even though your departing from Mexico (or another country). You have to submit a special form because your outside of Canada, (can't remember the name of it.) They will email it to you then you must sign, scan (or fax) and send back to them. There is a small fee for being out of Canada when you buy the insurance, then the regular fees for the insurance you select. They have office across Canada. I'm fairly certain that you must call them if your outside of Canada. I've purchased this insurance to go back to Canada 2 or 3 times. I can't see why it would not be valid if your just going to the USA. Now if anyone can help me with getting a decent amount of car liability insurance (for driving a Mexican car in the USA and Canada) over and above of Juan Chong offers I'd be happy to hear about it.
