  If it's a Hessian carpet (like a rough, woven feel on the back), yes. If it's felt backed (usually white, feels woolly) then not necessarily. Underlay always helps the feel though, regardless of the carpet. www.tradepriced.co.uk is excellent and cheap, if you're not in a hurry. 4/5 days delivery
