If not allowed, please delete, but I'm pretty desperate for advice.
I have an 11 year old cat (my mom's actually) and he's always been one to throw up from time to time but about two weeks ago he started vomiting several times a day. First vet visit, they felt some hard stool so they gave him fluids and sent home with laxative, which I gave him every 12 hours. First couple days, he was great, then he started vomiting again. Second vet visit, yesterday, they did an xray and gave more fluids but found nothing wrong. They recommend an ultrasound but they start at $300. We've already spend $500 in a week. He's lost a full pound in one week, stopped eating tonight, and is crying, howling, growling out in pain. Anyone have any advice or know where I could take him that won't charge an arm and a leg? I've been using My Family Vet on Kuykendahl and I love them there but I don't know if I should call them again or try another clinic. I'm lost and can't stand to hear him cry like this :(
